Milk Monster: The Unlikely Bottle Feeding Essential

July 14, 2017

*PR GIFTED Reuben loves his milk.  He’s a real guzzler and will devour a feed in five minutes flat.  But if there’s a loud tv playing or he’s in a room full of chatter, chances of him concentrating on his milk and finishing a bottle are […]

Parfait Lingerie: Celebrating Curves with Charlotte

July 11, 2017

*PR GIFTED Behind every great day is a good set of underwear.  Okay, nobody actually said that (until I did, now) and it’s a 100% unproven statement, but if lucky pants have anything to say on the matter, the difference between wearing a fabulous bra and […]

Post Pregnancy Body Confidence | Loving, Not Loathing, The Lumps

June 17, 2017

We women aren’t so good with being kind to ourselves and body confidence isn’t something we’re that comfortable with.  I’m guilty of it:  I’ve lost count of the times I’ve moaned about my legs looking nasty, and the cellulite jiggle on my thighs.  Feeling good about […]

Feeding Baby On The Go: The Yoomi Self Warming Bottle

June 2, 2017

Feeding a baby is tough business; whether you breast or formula feed, sometimes you just can’t escape the stress and tears at baby’s dinnertime.  Bottle feeding was the natural choice for my family but I never expected it to be the drama it is.  Since becoming a […]

I’m Not Okay and That’s Okay: My Postnatal Anxiety

May 10, 2017

Mental illness can happen to any one, any time – no one is immune.  Yet for some reason mental illness remains a stigma; often mocked and not taken seriously.  Women who have recently given birth are an at risk group vulnerable to post-natal depression, but lack of […]

Katherine Hamilton ‘Louise’ Lingerie Collection

Wearing functional maternity bras for months on end can be such a bore.  After what certainly felt like going on a year, I couldn’t wait to pack away the nursing bras and get back into regular underwear.   Following the birth I continued to wear my […]

10 Reasons Why I Miss Being Pregnant

April 23, 2017

When I first became pregnant I couldn’t wait to grow a bump.  Giving birth to a real baby was a far off destination and I was worry-free and excited for the future.  But it seemed that once the journey got into full swing, pregnancy started […]

Managing Labour Pain With Babycare Elle TENS

March 23, 2017

Pain control is one of the biggest concerns of any birth plan.  This was most certainly true for me, when throughout my own pregnancy I had this huge fear of not being able to cope with the overwhelming pain of childbirth.   My extreme period pain experience, […]

The day Reuben met Father Christmas. šŸ§‘ā€šŸŽ„ The day Reuben met Father Christmas. šŸ§‘ā€šŸŽ„
Took us all the way up to Belsay Hall in Northumberland to find the big old man and a fabulous vintage treat it was. Parlour games, wooden toys and lots of extravagant festive decoration.

Day out at Beamish on Saturday which was the best day of the weekend. Mostly bright and not too cold. Spent our time round the 1900s pit village where we got hot cheese and onion pasties and sausage rolls from the sinkers bait cabin and went to school. Looked in the toy shop and played in the park at the 50s area, surprised by a passing Father Christmas in a horse drawn carriage. Reuben loved the bank and seeing the old money in the 1800s town (which the bank teller didn’t seem to be amused with for some grumpy reason). Listened a little to the visiting Prudhoe brass band and just enjoyed a little rambling mooch. Didn’t feel *as festive* as previous years but a cute day out all the same. šŸŽ„
Christmas lights switch on in Richmond on Friday n Christmas lights switch on in Richmond on Friday night marked a Christmassy weekend. Even though the ā€œbig treeā€ was decorated a week ago, we decorated the house a bit more with garlands and paper chains and I’ve done a couple more little trees. Still not yet finished though!

Hope everyone’s enjoying bringing the festivities into the home. šŸŽ„

After school yesterday we drove up to the MetroCen After school yesterday we drove up to the MetroCentre for one thing - Santa! šŸŽ… New this Christmas, Lego brought out an upscaled Santa mini fig, like the dude we got from Legoland in the summer. A Lego shop exclusive, he’s been on back order for ages on the website so we rang the closest Lego shop to see if they had any. Luckily they did and reserved us our Santa. There were none on the shelves by the time we got there so just as well! Fab shop. Nice place to see plenty Lego sets you can’t get elsewhere and there’s even loose Lego to have a little play with while you’re there. I noticed back home though that my Lego Insiders card hadn’t scanned so I didn’t get my points which is poop. If you don’t know what that is, it’s a club to save points to redeem for Lego goodies and that’s a no brainer if you’re a brick head. šŸ˜„

So here’s to the start of Christmas even though it’s still only November. Oh yeah and the Christmas tree’s up! šŸŽ„

Lumiere 2025 was magical āœØšŸ’” Durham is a stunn Lumiere 2025 was magical āœØšŸ’” Durham is a stunning city and to see it lit with glowing art installations is a spectacular sight. It was cold and we walked for hours, but we were wrapped up warm and enjoyed every bit of the trail. My favourites were the silver wire fish and the flowers at the cathedral but the running man beside the river, which reminded me of Keith Haring’s art, was a fun one.

Question is, was this the last Lumiere in Durham? šŸ¤”
