Group B Strep And The Strepelle DIY Test Kit

February 8, 2017

If pregnancy doesn’t come with enough reasons to worry the whole nine months long, it turns out there’s another one to add to the list.  Your midwife has probably never mentioned it, the NHS doesn’t routinely test you for it, but it’s one of the […]

Freya Fancies Bralette: Full Bust and Fancy Free

January 31, 2017

Bralettes have surged in popularity in recent times and it’s interesting to wonder why.  With fashion magazines declaring that cleavage is dead, could it mean that no one cares for the push up and plunge effect anymore?  Perhaps it’s the eradication of confining under-wiring that’s becoming more acceptable, […]

Royce Maternity: Floral ‘Florence’ Nursing Bra

January 27, 2017

Maternity lingerie can be too beige.  Don’t get me wrong, beige has its place, it’s fantastic when you want a neutral colour that won’t show through your clothes.  But sometimes neutral, basic colours don’t cut it, and maternity underwear can be guilty of being so niche, […]

Maternity Wear: The Water Birth Wardrobe

January 23, 2017

Preparing the birth plan for my fast approaching due date, I’ve decided a water birth sounds ideal for me.  I don’t cope with pain particularly well and have a long suffering history of painful periods and chronic pain, so all the positive stories I keep reading about water births […]

High Waist Briefs: Kinky Knickers Norma Jeane

January 16, 2017

I know many of you love a high waist brief.  The retro aesthetic and comfort fit can be hard to resist, and I must admit, right now I’m all about big knickers.  Although normally I tend to prefer a lower cut brief, especially a high leg or […]

The Maternity Bra: The Pregnancy Purchase Your Boobs Will Thank You For

January 12, 2017

Pregnancy changes things, your breasts being one (or two) of them.  While everything’s focussed on the little life inside you, there’s just as much going on in the bra department.  In fact, even before your bump has begun surfacing, most likely your boobs are already looking different, […]

Maternity Hosiery: Ambra & Kunert Winter Tights

January 3, 2017

Recently I had the dilemma of needing tights, only I needed maternity hosiery and I was quickly surprised by how difficult this was to get a hold of.  In the end I opted for hold ups – why I hadn’t thought of it sooner, I’ll never know!  It […]

Ella and Me Pyjamas: Lavender & Lace

December 19, 2016

This week marks a new milestone in my pregnancy – I’m 28 weeks and officially into the 3rd trimester!  Although I’m struggling with pre-exisiting health conditions coming back to haunt me and pelvic pain forcing me onto crutches, I am lucky enough to be otherwise enjoying […]

Wonderfully Wire-Free: Royce Charlotte Comfort Bra

December 12, 2016

I’m continually amazed by how breast change in pregnancy falls in line with bump development.  It took me until the start of the 2nd trimester for my tummy to really start growing, by which time my bras also started to feel less comfortable.  While it didn’t […]

Mamalicious Maternity : Cathy Tikka Coat

December 1, 2016

Good maternity clothing isn’t the easiest to find.  While many of the highstreet fashion stores carry maternity lines, they’re typically quite limited, and I’ll admit I’ve not had the best of luck finding exactly what I want.  Being a winter mummy-to-be means that I not only […]

Cake Maternity ‘Apricot Sorbet’ Plus Size Bra

November 29, 2016

My maternity journey is proving to be the most transformative season of my life, right after puberty.  If not only for the scarily impending responsibility motherhood will soon heap onto my shoulders, but the constant daily change I’m seeing in my body as I head toward that goal. […]

The day Reuben met Father Christmas. šŸ§‘ā€šŸŽ„ The day Reuben met Father Christmas. šŸ§‘ā€šŸŽ„
Took us all the way up to Belsay Hall in Northumberland to find the big old man and a fabulous vintage treat it was. Parlour games, wooden toys and lots of extravagant festive decoration.

Day out at Beamish on Saturday which was the best day of the weekend. Mostly bright and not too cold. Spent our time round the 1900s pit village where we got hot cheese and onion pasties and sausage rolls from the sinkers bait cabin and went to school. Looked in the toy shop and played in the park at the 50s area, surprised by a passing Father Christmas in a horse drawn carriage. Reuben loved the bank and seeing the old money in the 1800s town (which the bank teller didn’t seem to be amused with for some grumpy reason). Listened a little to the visiting Prudhoe brass band and just enjoyed a little rambling mooch. Didn’t feel *as festive* as previous years but a cute day out all the same. šŸŽ„
Christmas lights switch on in Richmond on Friday n Christmas lights switch on in Richmond on Friday night marked a Christmassy weekend. Even though the ā€œbig treeā€ was decorated a week ago, we decorated the house a bit more with garlands and paper chains and I’ve done a couple more little trees. Still not yet finished though!

Hope everyone’s enjoying bringing the festivities into the home. šŸŽ„

After school yesterday we drove up to the MetroCen After school yesterday we drove up to the MetroCentre for one thing - Santa! šŸŽ… New this Christmas, Lego brought out an upscaled Santa mini fig, like the dude we got from Legoland in the summer. A Lego shop exclusive, he’s been on back order for ages on the website so we rang the closest Lego shop to see if they had any. Luckily they did and reserved us our Santa. There were none on the shelves by the time we got there so just as well! Fab shop. Nice place to see plenty Lego sets you can’t get elsewhere and there’s even loose Lego to have a little play with while you’re there. I noticed back home though that my Lego Insiders card hadn’t scanned so I didn’t get my points which is poop. If you don’t know what that is, it’s a club to save points to redeem for Lego goodies and that’s a no brainer if you’re a brick head. šŸ˜„

So here’s to the start of Christmas even though it’s still only November. Oh yeah and the Christmas tree’s up! šŸŽ„

Lumiere 2025 was magical āœØšŸ’” Durham is a stunn Lumiere 2025 was magical āœØšŸ’” Durham is a stunning city and to see it lit with glowing art installations is a spectacular sight. It was cold and we walked for hours, but we were wrapped up warm and enjoyed every bit of the trail. My favourites were the silver wire fish and the flowers at the cathedral but the running man beside the river, which reminded me of Keith Haring’s art, was a fun one.

Question is, was this the last Lumiere in Durham? šŸ¤”
