DUMMY ADDICTION | Why I Can’t Let My Toddler Quit the Dummy

April 12, 2019

I blame the nurse – she’s the one who suggested the damn dummy in the first place. Reuben loves a dummy – or “mam mam” as he calls them. He thinks they’re the best! And I wouldn’t disagree, dummies are pretty useful. Tired? Pop in […]

CO-SLEEPING | Why We (Still) Sleep With Our Child

September 20, 2018

Co-sleeping is everything like you imagine: it’s cramped, inconvenient, a bit scary, and can often have you waking with a stiff neck.  So why do it?  Because as much as co-sleeping with a little one literally cramps your style, it’s the best feeling ever. Updated […]

Parenting Through Anxiety: A Mentally Ill Motherhood

April 7, 2018

For as long as I’ve been a mother I’ve had anxiety.  To me, motherhood and anxiety are one and I don’t see a horizon on this tumultuous sea of worry. People love to tell you that anxiety comes with being a parent.  Mums and dads […]

I’m A Horrible Mum Because Anxiety Makes Me Angry

March 11, 2018

[Trigger Warning] This week was not great.  In fact, many days aren’t that great.  Maybe I’m exaggerating, but when I’ve had a really challenging experience –  my baby has, well, cried and I’ve lost the plot – I can’t help but write the day off […]

A WATCH FOR MOTHERS DAY | The Gift Of Customised Time

March 7, 2018

Baby Bath Time with Child’s Farm Skincare

January 19, 2018

Bath time is a highly anticipated activity in this house.  Not least by myself (what frazzled mum doesn’t love a good soak in the tub?), but of course, the littlest man himself.  It may be a daily ritual but with a menagerie of flashing frogs and half […]

This is the best time of year. Flowers in bloom. Strawberries. Daylight hours still increasing. Hot sun. Okay I live in my sunglasses because sunshine gives me headaches and heat makes me nap but it’s all good. ☀️ 😎
Saw The Corrs at Scarborough Open Air Theatre last Saw The Corrs at Scarborough Open Air Theatre last night thanks to winning tickets from TK Maxx. They were SO GOOD! 🥁🎤 It was great hearing them play all their instruments and sing so effortlessly. Runaway and Breathless were *chefs kiss* 👌🏻Dreams makes me think of being 16 again in the 90s, well, before the crap part.
Awesome night. Teeth chatteringly cold in my little dress but brill experience. Now I have a dehydration headache cos I was too anxious to drink. 😆

I’m not good at getting myself out in my car. La I’m not good at getting myself out in my car. Last week was half term and I went out once. 😂 Went to Mum’s though which is a big trip for me. I find anxiety and hypermobility pains a bit of a mix behind the wheel, and I’m hoping the painful knee I have right now isn’t a result of driving cos that’d suck. But I’m soldiering on. 😅 I’m fine with tootling about to the shops and doing the school run. 🌸
