The Maternity Bra: The Pregnancy Purchase Your Boobs Will Thank You For

January 12, 2017

Pregnancy changes things, your breasts being one (or two) of them.  While everything’s focussed on the little life inside you, there’s just as much going on in the bra department.  In fact, even before your bump has begun surfacing, most likely your boobs are already looking different, […]

Wonderfully Wire-Free: Royce Charlotte Comfort Bra

December 12, 2016

I’m continually amazed by how breast change in pregnancy falls in line with bump development.  It took me until the start of the 2nd trimester for my tummy to really start growing, by which time my bras also started to feel less comfortable.  While it didn’t […]

Cake Maternity ‘Croissant’ Nursing Bra

October 31, 2016

Now my regular lingerie is well and truly put to bed, my quest for the most amazing maternity bra remains at large.  I can count on one hand my new found favourites but a couple of bras aren’t going to see me through my entire pregnancy […]

Hotmilk Lure Pink Flexiwire Nursing Bra

October 9, 2016

Maternity lingerie can be a case of ‘needs must’.  Not everyone relishes the idea of wearing it with many women reluctantly choosing the pregnancy bra out of necessity.  So, it’s fair to say maternity bras have a poor reputation for being frumpy and ugly. But, regular […]

The Pound Shop Bra: Full Bust Friend of Foe?

September 14, 2016

I have to admit, back when I was watching the Poundshop Wars tv series it had me scoffing at the idea of a pound bra.   I was already decided, there was no way such a cheap bra could be any good, not for a fuller […]

Royce Maternity: Candy Blossom Nursing Bra

August 30, 2016

Wearing a bra to bed is something I never do.  Once I’m in those PJs it’s a bra-free zone, and it’s generally a liberating feeling.  But since becoming pregnant my boobs have taken on a mind of their own; whipping off the day’s bra is now […]

Anita Paisley Pregnancy Bra

August 29, 2016

Pregnancy makes boobs crazy, and it starts right from the first trimester.  The past twelve weeks have taken a painful turn, leaving me vulnerable to sensitivities.  While a few of my regular bras are still comfortably wearable, softer and more gently supportive, maternity specific bras have […]

Exploring Sleep Bras with Royce Lingerie Blossom

March 9, 2016

I’ve never been one for wearing a bra to bed.  I’m a pyjama gal who likes my comfort and that typically comes care-free and braless.  Whether you’re busty or less so, if you’re just chilling out around the house or sleeping, it’s pretty liberating to ditch the […]

Freya ‘Pure’ Moulded Nursing Bra

August 17, 2015

I never gave maternity lingerie much of a thought before I became pregnant.  I knew it existed but I couldn’t quantify from first hand experience how important and, really quite necessary, a good fitting maternity bra is. So when I found myself needing a maternity bra, […]

Rain doesn’t stop play around here 🤪 🌧️ Rain doesn’t stop play around here 🤪 🌧️ 🌈 We’ve put our @englishheritage membership to good use and visited SO MANY places over the summer holiday. There’s been new pop badges released which Reuben has enjoyed collecting ALL of! He’s also done the various trails which have been fun, and he achieved the coveted 2nd, 4th and 6th visit badges completing his summer ‘passport’. I think he’s chuffed!

So here’s yesterday’s day of play - Helmsley castle. Helmsley was my late Dad’s birthplace and stomping ground. Can’t visit here without feeling that connection. It threw it down with rain before the most glorious rainbow came out. 😌 🌈

Still on the school holiday adventure train with l Still on the school holiday adventure train with loads of photos to share from days out places, so just gonna dump yesterday’s shenanigans right now.

A visit to the National Space Centre in Leicester, on our way back from a Legoland trip. 🚀

This place was awesome! A bit of an information overload (I found) but it was all so interesting. Reubs loved the interactive bits like the mini Hadron Collider and a Q&A screen that went through the mathematical distances between us and each part of the universe. Mind blowing stuff. We had a late lunch literally beneath a massive rocket which was pretty cool and finished off with a ‘sky at night’ show in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium. Could’ve spent longer as it was great, however it could be improved too. Some of the displays could do with updating in terms of ‘00s aesthetics and silly bits about girls being made of stardust and then the alien bit is a bit dubious. And I definitely think there’s room for more artefacts, like it’d be amazing to see moon rock or something from space, or even see what life is like in the international space station. How do they wash in space? Do they grow plants? That’d be interesting.

Has anyone else been here? What did you think of it? 🤔 We’ll definitely return but not sure if it’s worth the 2hour drive on its own when there’s The Centre for Life in Newcastle with a very good space area.

Exciting, first time thrills, hot, SO HOT, breath-taking, nausea-inducing, amazing, beautiful, sweaty and a terrifying experience all in one. So many thoughts and takeaways from our first proper family holiday (never been anywhere longer than 3 days, never abroad). The Greek island of Rhodes was an experience alright. Think I need to write a blog about this one! But yes, the post-holiday come down is happening, I’m a bit sad, and I’ve LOADS of photos to share. 😄
