Mamalicious Maternity : Cathy Tikka Coat

December 1, 2016

Good maternity clothing isn’t the easiest to find.  While many of the highstreet fashion stores carry maternity lines, they’re typically quite limited, and I’ll admit I’ve not had the best of luck finding exactly what I want.  Being a winter mummy-to-be means that I not only […]

Hotmilk Lure Pink Flexiwire Nursing Bra

October 9, 2016

Maternity lingerie can be a case of ‘needs must’.  Not everyone relishes the idea of wearing it with many women reluctantly choosing the pregnancy bra out of necessity.  So, it’s fair to say maternity bras have a poor reputation for being frumpy and ugly. But, regular […]

The Pound Shop Bra: Full Bust Friend of Foe?

September 14, 2016

I have to admit, back when I was watching the Poundshop Wars tv series it had me scoffing at the idea of a pound bra.   I was already decided, there was no way such a cheap bra could be any good, not for a fuller […]

Royce Maternity: Candy Blossom Nursing Bra

August 30, 2016

Wearing a bra to bed is something I never do.  Once I’m in those PJs it’s a bra-free zone, and it’s generally a liberating feeling.  But since becoming pregnant my boobs have taken on a mind of their own; whipping off the day’s bra is now […]

Anita Paisley Pregnancy Bra

August 29, 2016

Pregnancy makes boobs crazy, and it starts right from the first trimester.  The past twelve weeks have taken a painful turn, leaving me vulnerable to sensitivities.  While a few of my regular bras are still comfortably wearable, softer and more gently supportive, maternity specific bras have […]

12 Things That Happen When Trying For A Baby

June 29, 2016

Trying for a baby is mental.  Literally.  I thought it was easy the first time.  Came off the pill and wham bam, the following month I was pregnant.  Of course I ended up miscarrying, and now it’s all back to round one again, but this […]

Yes, Miscarriage is Something We Should Talk About

The day Reuben met Father Christmas. šŸ§‘ā€šŸŽ„ The day Reuben met Father Christmas. šŸ§‘ā€šŸŽ„
Took us all the way up to Belsay Hall in Northumberland to find the big old man and a fabulous vintage treat it was. Parlour games, wooden toys and lots of extravagant festive decoration.

Day out at Beamish on Saturday which was the best day of the weekend. Mostly bright and not too cold. Spent our time round the 1900s pit village where we got hot cheese and onion pasties and sausage rolls from the sinkers bait cabin and went to school. Looked in the toy shop and played in the park at the 50s area, surprised by a passing Father Christmas in a horse drawn carriage. Reuben loved the bank and seeing the old money in the 1800s town (which the bank teller didn’t seem to be amused with for some grumpy reason). Listened a little to the visiting Prudhoe brass band and just enjoyed a little rambling mooch. Didn’t feel *as festive* as previous years but a cute day out all the same. šŸŽ„
Christmas lights switch on in Richmond on Friday n Christmas lights switch on in Richmond on Friday night marked a Christmassy weekend. Even though the ā€œbig treeā€ was decorated a week ago, we decorated the house a bit more with garlands and paper chains and I’ve done a couple more little trees. Still not yet finished though!

Hope everyone’s enjoying bringing the festivities into the home. šŸŽ„

After school yesterday we drove up to the MetroCen After school yesterday we drove up to the MetroCentre for one thing - Santa! šŸŽ… New this Christmas, Lego brought out an upscaled Santa mini fig, like the dude we got from Legoland in the summer. A Lego shop exclusive, he’s been on back order for ages on the website so we rang the closest Lego shop to see if they had any. Luckily they did and reserved us our Santa. There were none on the shelves by the time we got there so just as well! Fab shop. Nice place to see plenty Lego sets you can’t get elsewhere and there’s even loose Lego to have a little play with while you’re there. I noticed back home though that my Lego Insiders card hadn’t scanned so I didn’t get my points which is poop. If you don’t know what that is, it’s a club to save points to redeem for Lego goodies and that’s a no brainer if you’re a brick head. šŸ˜„

So here’s to the start of Christmas even though it’s still only November. Oh yeah and the Christmas tree’s up! šŸŽ„

Lumiere 2025 was magical āœØšŸ’” Durham is a stunn Lumiere 2025 was magical āœØšŸ’” Durham is a stunning city and to see it lit with glowing art installations is a spectacular sight. It was cold and we walked for hours, but we were wrapped up warm and enjoyed every bit of the trail. My favourites were the silver wire fish and the flowers at the cathedral but the running man beside the river, which reminded me of Keith Haring’s art, was a fun one.

Question is, was this the last Lumiere in Durham? šŸ¤”
