Luxury lingerie is a treat worthy of investment for when you want to feel your best wearing less.  Quality independent labels take pride in what they produce which means a fine garment worth treasuring and enjoying.  Here in Britain we have some of the best kept secrets in lingerie, and contemporary boutique brand Miss Mandalay is one of those treasures.

Miss Mandalay have a strong fan base who adore the luxury aesthetic and sound fit of their lingerie and swimwear.  Their most loved collections combine silky touches with sheer fabrication in a multitude of colourways, fusing together a modern design that’s hedonistic and sensual.

Amelie is Miss Mandalay’s most sumptuous collection, featuring stretch lace cups and satin heavy content.  It’s a gorgeous example of super stylish design that’s completely luxurious, and available from a small 28 back up to an H cup, it’s an accessible range for the slim and full busted.

Online fuller bust lingerie specialists, Curvy Intimates, sent me the Miss Mandalay Amelie set in Ultra Violet to review, and I chose the bra size 30GG and matching brazilian brief in a large.

Having previously owned Miss Mandalay ‘Paris’, I was taken by how supreme Amelie is compared.  It feels utterly comfortable, and thanks to its stretch lace cups and the satin outer slings the fit is supremely supportive.  While the bra fastens with only 2 hooks it is still an adequate band.  The full stretch straps are slim and decorated with ruched grosgrain effect ribbon, which adds to the decadent style.

I don’t always get along with lace since some laces can be rough and irritating, but Amelie’s lace is so soft to the touch.  It’s highly stretchy cups fit like a glove, while a thin elasticated strip along the top edge of the cups aids the smooth finish.  The outer satin slings add depth and contrasting texture while acting as bust boosting supports.

The co-ordinating brief features a front panel of stretch lace accented with soft satin to the lace edge and gusset.  The reverse is fully stretch sheer mesh that completes an attractive and comfy knicker.

The Ultra Violet Amelie is a beautifully designed collection that impressively offers full bust support.  For those of us looking for something a little more luxe while providing substantial support it’s a fantastic option.  The colour is deeply vibrant and takes the lacy design to another level.
