Wonderbra Haul of Fame Campaign – Part 2
Hopefully, if you’re reading this post it means you’ve probably read the first of my Haul of Fame posts. If you haven’t yet got the low down on the fantastic Wonderbra campaign surrounding the nifty new Decoder app, check out Part 1 post.
The media is going crazy right now over the buzz of the Decoder app. Many people thought how odd for a lingerie brand to market themselves using a clothed model! You could think that’s strange until you see just what Decoder is all about: looking at an outfit and deciding which bra style is best suited to be worn underneath.
Wonderbra asked me to be an ambassador for the campaign and make up a series of outfits from my own wardrobe and pair with them the bras I’d wear underneath. This is my second choice –
This time I opted for a smart evening look and wore a figure hugging strapless satin dress. This is for those cocktail hours when showcasing your to-die-for curves. You don’t wear this kind of dress and not expect to be looked at so you’ve got to ensure you get the look right. Absolutely no straps should be on show in this number!
For this look I didn’t need to hesitate which bra to reach for, and I naturally chose the Ultimate Strapless Bra.
I went for the 32G in this style but again a 30G would have been best as the 32 was far too generous in the band. The design is like nothing I’ve tried before, though. Typically strapless bras look the same as a regular balconette minus the straps but Wonderbra went all out with their Ultimate Strapless and created this technologically advanced shape. It looks odd but so works! The hold is leant by the silicone strips but also due to the unique finger-like structure which cups and supports your boobs, keeping them where they should be.
Remember, you can also create your very own outfit and enter it into Wonderbra’s Haul of Fame Facebook competition to win an amazing £1000 shopping spree and indispensable fashion advice from celebrity stylist Sophie Stevens.
In Part 3 I’ll be sharing another of my outfits, further demonstrating the flexible Wonderbra range.

October 22, 2012 at 6:04 pmI need to buy a strapless bra… I’m being a bridesmaid for my friend’s wedding in a few weeks and am wearing a (gorgeous!) one shouldered dress. Perhaps one of these would be a good idea! xx

October 22, 2012 at 7:21 pmHi Fiona 🙂
Yeah I would recommend you try one out. It’s really strange how different the structure is but it feels like you’re contained. Definitely better than the typical design. Can’t wait to see photos of your dress! Hope it’s a lovely day for the wedding!

October 22, 2012 at 7:42 pmI purchased the Wonderbra ultimate strapless in 32G, because of all the rave reviews. I also found it to be true to the band size (unfortunate for me, a 28H/30GG) so I exchanged for a 30G. It fit better but because of the pressure of trying to contain the girls and the still-loose band, it slid down with a few twists. I wound up keeping it in its box, unworn, under my bed because at this point, my return expenses spent so far will have costlier than the bra itself. Sad Face.

October 25, 2012 at 2:00 amI’ll actually be selling it at some point, if anyone’s interested. It is 30G, in black.

October 28, 2012 at 11:19 pmHey! 🙂 Yes, I found the very same with the sizing, sadly. The thing with strapless bras is you really need to ensure you’re wearing the right size or it’ll do absolutely nothing for you, as you experienced with it falling around your ankles. I think it’s time Wonderbra made smaller backs and larger cups now.
