Lingerie Review | Charnos Cherub
Charnos is a brand I’ve most associated with bridal lingerie, quite possibly coming to know of the name through modelling boudoir, and so I own a few pieces such as suspender belts. I hadn’t really considered it being a brand for me until I happened to notice New Look selling some of their bras online, which I found intriguing.
When Charnos approached me to review a collection I was keen to explore the brand a little more. The brand website showcases their complete ranges, and if you feel apprehensive like I did, you’d be surprised to see the directional designs they’re creating right now. A noteworthy line is Eva, which, depressingly for me, is available in a B-F cup. Definitely worth checking it out if that counts you in.
The lace Cherub collection really caught my attention and I do think the full cup version actually looks better than it’s half cup counterpart. You may agree it looks pretty modern and divinely sexy! Fully fabricated in French lace, Cherub is a luxurious choice for that special feeling. It feels and looks very high end, the kind of quality you’d expect to pay much more for.
Charnos back sizes disappointingly only start from a 32, so whilst my best fit is a 30GG I went for my sister size of 32G. Since I’m usually one for colour I decided to be different and opt for a sultry black set. To match the bra I received a size 12 brief too.
I’m not generally a massive fan of lace underwear everyday wear but Cherub’s lace is gorgeous and very easy to wear. The three section cups are double thickness which aids support, while the stretch lace panels in the upper cups allow for fluent movement without restriction.
The band, for a 32G, is firm on the first hook which is a great sign. I find the cups are a little too close to my armpits so I know it’s not the most perfect fit, but that’s only because I can’t have it in a 30GG. If a 32G is your usual bra size, you’ll be absolutely fine.
What I love about Cherub is the detail: the scallop edging on the upper cups, the picot trim along the band and the delicate chiffon bows with attached crystal decoration all add to the decadent feel. I think this set looks pretty hot, extremely feminine but pretty too.
You can also get a matching suspender belt which I think looks amazing! I shall have to get my hands on that.

How do you feel about lace lingerie? Do you always wear lace or tend to avoid it? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

November 17, 2013 at 7:02 pmThe pretty Charnos Cherub suspender belt with its lace applique on semi-sheer mesh and scalloped edging wold be a nice complementary addition to the lovely lingerie set you’re shown modeling so beautifully here. You look fabulous! I love scalloped edging, bows and chiffon.
I have bought and worn lace lingerie from Hanky Panky and I’ve been looking at some from Cosabella, but in general I tend to wear lingerie that feels more silky soft and satiny against my skin. I blog about what I love – full brief panties. To me the fit, feel, tailoring, fabric and colours are all important, but I also love ultra-feminine details. I love lace insets, overlays, appliques, trim, lacy ornamentation on blouses, babydolls, bras, camisoles and other lingerie. I wear mainly wear nylon full briefs but would wear lace knickers if I were reviewing them or for show.
