Freya Deco Delight: The Loungewear

May 31, 2015

Shopping for lingerie can be a challenge, so finding sleepwear to fit a big bust is a task in its own right.  Who even knew you could buy pyjamas specially for big boobs?

For me, it’s always been one of those things to bear in mind whatever clothing I’ve gone on the look out for.  Outerwear or sleepwear, I’ve always got to make sure there’s enough boob room for comfort.  In bed I like my clothes to fit – I’m the most sensitive (read: fussy) when it comes to anything feeling itchy or clingy in the wrong places.  So, believe me when I say I’m down-right particular about my pyjamas.

In all my time wearing Freya lingerie I’d never once tried their loungewear, I have no idea why.  But it has intrigued me seeing some of the seasonal collections including chemises and similar, so it was great when lingerie and loungewear specialists Lazeme sent me a gorgeous bed set along with the bra and brief I earlier reviewed.

The Deco Delight lounge pant and cami top are fab co-ordinating separates that feature the same finishing touches of the Deco Delight lingerie.  In a soft Dove grey, both garments bear subtle lace accents to the apex of the top and outer hem of the pants.  It’s a sleek, stretchy polyamide mix fabric so it wears easily without any restriction to movement.

The cami top (medium/E-G, RRP £29) is a little fitted in the body and features an inner soft bra panel – no cups, wiring or anything like that – just a gentle, elasticated supportive shelf.  The sizing is slightly more tailored than regular dress size, so instead of just opting for whatever number you are you’re also given the choice of two variations based on cup size.  The first being B-DD, and the D-G for the larger cup sizes.

While I love the sizing format for the cami, I found it fell short of my needs.  Being a GG cup wearer it meant my only choice was to go for the smaller D-G version, which I thought was frustrating considering the bra in the range caters for a GG.

The straps are adjustable so at least there’s freedom to fit better to your shape, but if the bust shelf is small there’s no amending that.

The lounge pant (large/14, RRP £36) has a fluid, wide leg drape and is a gorgeous fit.  The waist band is semi elasticated to the back so the front has a clean, flat line.  The loose leg doesn’t cling and feels cool against the skin, so it’s a lovely, skin friendly touch.  I’m 5’8″ tall and the hem just finishes below my ankle; that’s wearing up to my waist line, so it’s a generous length.

Overall I’m impressed with the quality of Freya’s loungewear in the Deco Delight design.  It’s a very wearable, modern style that’s perfect for chilling out as well as sleeping in.  I would be keen to see Freya venture a little out of their comfort zone in the future and try producing some higher cup sizes.  That way it’ll provide much more accessibility to full bust sleepwear, and I’ll be able to properly wear a bust friendly cami too!

Have you ever tried Freya’s loungewear?  What are your thoughts on the sizing method and sizes available?  Would you like to see more full bust sleepwear on offer?
