Review | Charnos Hosiery Boudoir Hold Up
I am constantly replenishing my boudoir hosiery with replacement favourites and new exciting styles. Whilst I’ve discovered some really good brands, I’ve also felt the frustration and regret of purchasing poor quality inferior stockings. These typically snag and ladder easily, wrinkle and lack that lustre decent hosiery shows.
If you’re not familiar with the difference between the two types, hold ups are basically stockings that keep themselves up due to the silicone backed tops, and don’t require a suspender belt or clips to fasten to a girdle or corset. They’re less fussy and far easier to wear compared to stockings.
Charnos Hosiery sent me a pair of their black Boudoir Luxury Lace Hold Ups to try out. According to my measurements (5’8″ tall with 40″ hips) I was sent the M/L size.
The boudoir hold ups are a sheer 10 denier throughout the leg with a patterned lace top. I really like the design of the lace which is modern and fancy without being frilly or floral. The length of the legs are a good height, as I like to wear hold ups high on the thigh. They grip nicely and firmly and for 10 denier are really robust. I’m so pleased I tried these. I do have a lovely bridal set of Charnos hold ups which I’ve been impressed with, so I’m glad they weren’t a one off.
You may notice pieces of my outfit here I’ve not yet introduced to you. Be assured, you’ll see these beautiful garments again!
