Fed up with pretty florals and soft pastels?  Well, right now it’s all about the colour pop.

From zesty lemons to shocking pink, lingerie this summer is turning up the dial and going super bright.

Latest collections, Lola and Luxury Lace, from Gossard are bang on trend with intoxicating colour.  Two neon brights, both completely different in their design.  In this two part post special I’m reviewing LOLA.

Lola’s vivid coral pink really stands out and is a truly gorgeous shade.   In a choice of plunge or non padded style, Lola allows her scallop embroidery mesh cups do the talking and the effect is sensational.  Trimmed with contrasting bright aqua ribbon and bows, this is my favourite colour clash combination.

Lola’s bra style availability depends on your bra size: plunge up to an E cup, and non padded for the larger bust: D-G.

I was sent the Lola set in the non padded bra 30G and brief UK small.   The central gore on the non padded comes up a little higher than a plunge, but lower than a typical balconette.  Plunge styles suit my shape best so I found some issue fit-wise with the style following my natural shape.

The wires are comfortable and perfectly rounded and although the band fastens with double hooks, the wings are deep which lends much to the support.  I like that the straps are wide and fully adjustable, and feel soft to the touch too.

The mesh cups are constructed in 3 parts with additional mesh sling on the reverse for increased shape and support.  It’s a comfortable fit but I found the rigidity a little too constricting and cut slightly into one of my boobs (the pain-in-the-butt larger side.)

I adore Lola and the non padded style hasn’t agreed with me 100% (this is simply because the central gore is neither low nor high enough – if the plunge catered right up to a G cup it would be spot on) but it’s not a massive problem enough to stop me wearing it.  It’s so different and looks amazing!

The knickers are super comfy!  Featuring the same scallop embroidery to the front, the sides and back are a stretchy fine mesh which makes this fit really well on the bottom.
