FRILL OF THE FESTIVITIES | Pour Moi ‘Ditto’ Lingerie
There’s nothing like the buzz of the changing seasons to get you excited about the little things in life. Even autumn, as it sheds the landscape and winds down to the back end of the year, has a new feel about it. While I’ve been busy updating my home decor with umpteen cosy cushions, I’ve also been overhauling my wardrobe with a new seasonal colour palette. And my underwear drawer has not escaped this drive for change.

Quite likely because of the deliciously chunky jumpers (as much as I’m loving them), is the reason why I’m feeling the need for some seriously feminine underwear in my life. As much as I love all the hunkering down and hibernating beneath supersized knits, it’s nice to offset it with something a little more sensuous underneath.
Brastop kindly sent me a new set by Pour Moi to try out. Not only is it the most exuberant red perfect for this time of year and with the festive period just around the corner, it’s totally feminine and super affordable.
Pour Moi’s Ditto is a full bust range for D-J cups, starting from a 32 band, and comes in the choice of two colours, the vibrant red, which I opted for, and pure white. In a flattering balcony style, Ditto’s contemporary mesh fabric blended with lace and a frill trim, provides the best coverage and uplift with a modern, playful look.
I have to be honest, as I’ve not had much success with Pour Moi in the past, it’s surprised me how good Ditto really is. The bra feels like an absolute dream to wear; the fabric feels lovely against the skin, and thanks to the fully adjustable stretch shoulder straps and broad triple hook deep fastener, the fit is just spot on. In my experience when bras feel this good, aesthetic is hugely compromised. But Ditto is so pretty! Too pretty, it’s a shame it’s hidden away underneath all these woolly layers.
I seem to be between band sizes these days so the drawback of Pour Moi’s sizing not catering to a 30 band, meant the 32 band wasn’t such a raw deal. Pour Moi tend to run smaller in the band anyway, so while I’m wearing the fastener on the middle hook (which is not the most ideal way to start), the band isn’t stretching out the wiring under my arms or sitting too broadly on my shoulders. The 32GG fills out nice and naturally, with no over spillage or digging in. It just fits beautifully.
The co-ordinating brief options include a little skirted thong and a high waisted knicker, so whether you like your smalls inconspicuous or big and sexy, both briefs are a gorgeous match to the bra.
I paired my bra with the high waist brief for a really glamorous, almost vintage look. In a fully stretch mesh, the Ditto brief features a flurry of frills across the front of the brief and a cute little peekaboo hole on the back.
The size 14 fits perfectly – I’d happily say these are my knickers of the year! With its round leg cut high on the hip and low around the thigh for a full brief shape, the brief wears nicely snug around my curves. It looks divine worn as the set, but even without the bra they’re a solid pair of knickers that feel amazing to wear.
If I didn’t already own Ditto I’d be asking Father Christmas for a set. It’s every bit the festive treat and wouldn’t look out of place hanging out of a Christmas stocking this December the 25th.
