It’s a fact: lingerie makes us feel great!  Whether its wearing a cute pair of boy pants or a cleavage boosting bra that gives us that feel good factor, underwear is a simple and discreet way to boost confidence, self assure and feel amazing.

We generally associate indulgent lingerie with a special event; a wedding, the wedding night, a sexy weekend away or naughty night in, but luxury needn’t be confined to the incidental love affair.  Whoever said amazing lingerie should only be worn occasionally, and why should it not be appreciated any day of the week, just for self satisfaction’s sake?!

Gossard VIP is everything Gossard – flirtatious, form boosting, and on trend – but with an extra touch of glamour.  With hugely popular Retrolution already in the VIP range and some truly divine collections to come in the AW14 season, Phoebe is this summer’s starlet.

“A bounty of layered frill and lace”

Pale pink Phoebe is a feminine treat with its luxe metallic embroidery, lace, sheer mesh and tulle.  Available in a D-G, the unpadded balcony bra offers substantial coverage and support lent by the side cup supports.  The short features the matching beautiful embroidery design but with a stretchy plain mesh reverse, and the suspender belt – a bounty of layered frill and lace – makes the finishing touch, with four straps and clips to attach your favourite stockings.

Gossard sent me the full set to review which I was truly thrilled about.  I adore tulle, whether it’s a skirted thong or frothy petticoat, so to try Phoebe was a delight.  I received the bra in a 30G and the short and suspender belt both in a Small.

The bra is beautiful and feels gorgeous to the touch.  The lace of the cups is very light and breathable, and the mesh side supports are soft.  The cups follow my contours fit seamlessly.  Comparing against other Gossards in the same size I am inclined to say the band is slightly more snug and so I’d suggest trying a band size up.

The small suspender belt and short are possibly on the too small side for me but that’s only because I prefer a medium for a less firm fit.  The shorts are still super comfy though – I love how they’re fully detailed but comfy on the bum!  The suspender belt feels like a mini tutu and it feels so cute to wear in accompaniment.  I wore some stockings with the set to complete the look and it does look pretty amazing.  The shimmery lace is so different and mesmerising; definitely a little luxury for indulgent ‘me time’.

I love the alluring ultra-feminine look of Gossard Lingerie’s Phoebe Suspender Skirt! I suspect that the back view of the Phoebe Short looks better showcased by you than it does on the Gossard website. That lingerie set looks beautiful worn by you.

Is this the set designed in collaboration with a student who won a competition? I can’t remember. It looks gorgeous though, more deluxe than usual for Gossard with the frilly tutu on the suspender 🙂

Hi Esty! Hmm, I’m not sure about that one, I don’t have any literature on it and I’ve not been told about it. I’ll have to ask, you have me intrigued!

On second thoughts I think I’m wrong, I Googled it and can’t find anything. My brain must have made it up, I just associated this set with their student design contest for the some reason! Either way, lovely design 🙂

Hello, Have you got any pointy shape with that one? I tried it in 32G and it was so pointy! It was to big in the cup but I don’t know if I buy the 30G it will be a better shape …
