If You Only Buy One Plunge Bra, Make it This One (or Maybe Both of These)
Plunge bras are one of life’s great mysteries – just how do they work their magic? And how do you find one that works for you? If you’re fuller busted, I’ve found the plunge bras you need.
This post contains gifted product from Panache Lingerie. All text, imagery & opinions are my own.

Where would we be without the glorious plunge bra? In a sad place of boob unhappiness, no uplifted freedom, no daring displays of cleavage and worse, doomed to the great fashion faux pas, wearing the (insert gasp) “wrong” bra style on show. You can just go bra-less. It works for some, doesn’t for others, especially if you’re wanting the support of a bra and the thought of a free-to-roam bosom brings on a cold sweat.
Where would I be, more like. Few styles fit me like the good old plunge. When your breasts are closely set together like mine are, bra options quickly diminish. The go-to balcony style for many fuller busts can be hit or miss for me because the design often results in an ill-fitting centre front. Whereas the plunge bra, quite the opposite, boasts a lower cut that feels more naturally in tune with my breast shape.
So I am all about the plunge!
Panache Lingerie are tried and trusted purveyors of fuller bust bras, notably my favourite style, the plunge. The brand’s Tango bra was one of my first plunging favourites over a decade ago on this very blog.
Panache recently sent me two of their newest plunge sets to review – Ana and Meadow. Two lovely plunge options, each with their own beauty and benefits. I’ll say now that Ana is the one for me, but really both of these styles are top tier fit.
There’s a video review of the Panache Ana and Meadow bras over on my YouTube channel.

This season’s Ana has arrived in a few new colour-ways, including this refreshingly spring-feeling lush green. I say this is a stand-out piece as the sage and cream dual colour palette really brings out the depth of the design and detail of the lace. The chalky tones are super flattering against the skin too, with a slight vintage aesthetic that makes Ana appear so decadently.

Ana isn’t just a good-looker either, she is a firm supporter of the girls. Featuring stretch lace and a pleasantly narrow band with just double hook fastening, Ana is an exceptional bra of this kind. The centre gore placement is spot on; it’s low enough for the natural contour of my shape without cutting too deep. So if you’d usually wear a balcony, this plunge bra is a different style worth trying.
The plunging cups are three section cut and feature an inner side sling to naturally lift and project your bust while holding firmly in place. This is reinforced by the semi-elasticated straps which are flat woven at the front, reducing any compromising upper movement.
In a 32HH, Ana is very comfortable in the band and I love the rounded shape it gives me. The stretch lace upper part of the cup is a huge benefit as it ensures a perfectly encasing line, however due to my asymmetry creating a little spillage I’d increase my cup to a 32J next time.
The Brazilian brief perfectly completes the decadent Ana set. Boasting luscious lace coverage, this gorgeous knicker is a delight to wear as it is to admire.

Meadow is another gorgeous plunge bra option, this season coming in a vibrant strawberry red. Fabricated in rigid mesh and adorned with delicate floral embroideries, it’s a classically pretty look enlivened by this deep shade.
The centre gore is actually smaller than Ana’s; it finishes at a lower point while the under band it cut at a slight curve allowing a little more of a plunging neckline. Stretchy broad straps that are fully adjustable offset the otherwise structured cup style with softness, giving a comfortable, every day wear that’s easy on the shoulders, while the deep plunging neckline creates a beautifully uplifted shape.
I received the 32HH in this style and it fits me so well. It’s a little more of a bouncy feel, likely due to the all stretch straps, but I don’t mind it much since the fit is superior. I liken Meadow to a car made for motorway miles – it’s ridiculously comfy for a day of leisure.

An aspect of Meadow which I can’t praise enough is the back fastener. Not only is it a decent width with a three hook closure, but it is padded and super, super smooth to the touch. And on top of that, there’s no itchy label attached because it’s printed on the fabric! I’m so ridiculously skin sensitive to irritations that often spoil a good bra, so this discovery was a true revelation. Such a seriously good move on Panache’s part, which I hope to see extend further in their ranges.
Meadow’s co-ordinating deep brief is a gorgeous match for this bra. Offering a lovely full bottom coverage without being too high waisted, it’s an ultra comfortable knicker that feels as luscious as it looks. There’s the choice of a Brazilian brief too.

Ana and Meadow are really worth trying if plunge bras particularly suit your figure, or even if you’ve not yet tried the plunge style, this is a great starting point. Both of these Panache bras have their own benefits and bonuses, so it’s just a case of discovering which feels and looks great on you.
