Brand familiarity is a convenient situation.  The regularity of a continuity line and collections based on a consistent design helps with getting to know how a certain style fits you.  Once you find a shape that suits you, lingerie life can be pretty simple.

So it’s always exciting when brands shake it up and throw limited edition variations of long term favourites into the mix!

Gossard have vamped up their popular Superboost Lace collection with the luxe Foil Effect special.  Available in two colour options – including the softly delicate Blush – the Bordeaux colourway nods toward 2015’s Pantone trend colour, Marsala; a luscious deep red wine shade laced with a metallic iridescence.

The Foil Effect edition features a boosting and shaping plunge bra, and extends to offer a suspender belt along with a thong or short.

I couldn’t resist the mellow tones of the Bordeaux, and Gossard sent me the full set for me to review for you!  I received the 32G bra, together with the suspender belt, thong and short in a size large.

As you can see, the sumptuous lace plunging bra gives a rounded shape with a full cleavage effect.  As the bra is thinly padded it means even though you feel ‘booby’, it doesn’t feel fake.  Not like the Luxury Lace felt – I loved it’s colour and fit but the padding was overbearing compared to this one.

The foil effect bra is comfy and makes me feel amazing – two huge thumbs up.  I’m pleased that the 32G is such a great fit, as I don’t always fair well with this size (in lots of brands).

The short and thong both fit well at the large size, which opens up a whole sideline bugbear of mine.  Gossard say their large equates to a 14-16 which I really am not.  But that aside, as it’s my hips/butt that require the extra room, my knickers are cute and stay put.  The suspender belt is probably too big, which at the large size kinda points at my hips needing the bigger size, not my waist.  A medium would likely fit perfectly on me.

I adore this collection!  The colour is scrummy and I just love the shimmery effect that makes it extra special.  As a set it looks great; so pretty, feminine, flattering and yes, sexy!  When I often feel like poop (low self confidence = blah) it speaks volumes to me that I’ve got my hands on something pretty awesome.
