I’m A Horrible Mum Because Anxiety Makes Me Angry

March 11, 2018

[Trigger Warning] This week was not great.  In fact, many days aren’t that great.  Maybe I’m exaggerating, but when I’ve had a really challenging experience –  my baby has, well, cried and I’ve lost the plot – I can’t help but write the day off […]

I’m Not Okay and That’s Okay: My Postnatal Anxiety

May 10, 2017

Mental illness can happen to any one, any time – no one is immune.  Yet for some reason mental illness remains a stigma; often mocked and not taken seriously.  Women who have recently given birth are an at risk group vulnerable to post-natal depression, but lack of […]

Happy New Year | A Wish of New Hope & Optimism

January 2, 2016

Year ends have a way of throwing you into the emotional mixer.  The annual wave of goodbye, through feelings of satisfaction or relief, brings forth the rush of excitement for what the new year may hold – with daunted trepidation toward new beginnings roused by fears from the past.   New […]

Inferiority-Popularity Complex | Blogger Problems

November 12, 2015

I wrote this piece about a month ago, that I later decided I wouldn’t post.  This is what I’m like: writing is my therapy.  I go through phases of emotions and big life questioning that I’ll get over and may or may not revisit.  I call it ‘life lethargy’. […]

Bye Bye Baby | My Missed Miscarriage

July 30, 2015

I never imagined that the first time I’d see my first ever baby she wouldn’t be alive. Laying in a dimmed room, in the illumination of the monitor, I saw my baby, like a little sleeping hippo, cocooned in the safety of my belly.   But […]

Depression | Seduction of Melancholy

December 15, 2013

I’m going to be honest with you: I’m not always the smiling the face you see in my pictures.  In fact, many days it’s such an effort being that person that it affects everything I do, right down to creating blog posts.  Sometimes it’s painful […]

Mum’s been in hospital for a few months now with a Mum’s been in hospital for a few months now with a diagnosis of CIDP. Had never even heard of it before. From what little I understand, it’s a chronic rare autoimmune disorder where the body attacks its own nerves, causing damage that affects feeling in hands and feet, reducing dexterity and mobility to practically nothing. It’s terrifying. 😟

Mum’s being such a fighter. Taking on all the rehab and treatments while having to rely on the nurses for doing anything. It’s heartbreaking to see her limited to her hospital bed with pain and uncomfortable sensations in her body. It’s literally the ultimate nightmare illness that sets to steal your independence and very wellbeing. 😢

But Mum is a warrior of faith 💪 who stands on scripture that boasts healing in the name of Jesus. 🗡️ 🛡️ So we’re praying for a full recovery with the hope that Mum will be back in her own home again soon.

Love you, Mum! ❤️

Comfy and cute is mandatory for droll days like this. ☁️ Fully stretch cotton with soft seams and deep elastic bands mean Oddballs crop tops and boxer briefs stay put and wear like a dream.

I adore the pants! They fit like a glove and are sooo comforting on period days when I need to wear a heat pad on my tummy.

Just need to request a fuller bust crop top cos my b(.)(.)bs need more snuggle room! 😄
