All too often I hear the same cry repeating: “you can’t get nice swimwear for bigger busts”.  It makes me want to burst out even louder – you can!  It doesn’t mean every brand caters for us bustier girls but it does mean there’s some really fabulous brands who do.  Curvy Kate is one of them, and if you didn’t know they even did bra sized swimwear then you’re in for an immense treat!

Curvy Kate are pretty well known these days, in part thanks to their incredibly successful annual Star in a Bra campaign.  Their love of curves means they do what they do, well.  With a wide size range and equally wide choice each season, there’s tons of trendy choice for curvy women of all shapes.

Deep Sea Instinct, to me, is a stand out collection from the current SS16 swimwear range.  A vibrant electric blue colourway with soft coral accents, just screaming cool blue ocean, it features a halter neck style bikini top, something that many fuller bust women are apprehensive of.  Halters don’t have a great reputation where big boobs are concerned.  So seeing this set I was keen to put it to the test and judge whether it really is a game changer.

This is one reason why my Instinct Halter Top looks and wears so well – it fits.  The 30″ band provides the firm foundation my heavy bust demands.  Together with the H cup, what’s created is a top that effortlessly supports, lifts and holds me, taking my bust’s weight, so I can happily wear a halter tying around my neck without any strain.

The ultra plunging design of Instinct is another reason this bikini works so well for me.  The low centre gore placement fits in the space between my boobs, just under where they naturally meet, so while it has that flattering deep neckline, it’s the most natural and comfortable style I can wear.

The halter style is a great option for fuller busts too, as it’s deceptively high coverage.  The centre front exposes your cleavage but aside from that the cup fabric runs high, scooping right the way from your arm pit to the top of your breast tissue.

The Short are a cute bikini bottom option, great if you prefer more coverage than a typical brief.  Offering a broad and low shape sitting on the hip, the shorts feel slim yet substantial.

The neon coral tie sides are ruched and adjust slightly, adding to the whole sporty aesthetic.

The size 14 fit perfectly on me; not tight but hold up and stay up.  I like a comfy brief so these are definitely right up my street.

And so…

Instinct is a clever combination of girly, sexy and sporty, so it’s ideal for sunbathing, climbing around the rock pools or fun and frolics down at the water park.  The fit and shape of this collection is equally flattering and looks absolutely amazing on.  Confidence is so important where swimwear is concerned as it’s you against the world, and when you’ve found a bikini that you feel great in, that’s all you need.  I’m quite happy that I have Instinct now.  I feel good in it therefore I look good!
