Autumnal Jewels | Panache Olivia Balcony Bra

September 23, 2015

September is an exciting time of the year, Autumn begins to close in and a new lease of lingerie life bursts forth from our favourite brands’ AW15 collections.

This season’s lingerie drop takes us on a trip through a jewel encrusted kaleidoscope, where an abundance of precious gem colour and fruity shades come to the fore.  Autumn’s lingerie is intoxicating.

Panache have responded well to the theme, with a Deep Jade colour revival of glamour-puss Olivia.  This is one gorgeous collection that boasts fantastic fit, style and exuberance up to a K cup.

Although Olivia’s colour is more petrol blue than deep jade, there’s no mistaking the rich palette at play.  Sumptuous shimmery finished fabric in a modern pin-up floral and polka dot pattern gives Olivia a beautiful quality that’s grown up and yet totally trend leading.

Olivia is a balcony fashioned bra, not too dissimilar to the classic Tango.  With deeply rounded wiring and a high centre point, it offers a high level of coverage without being a full cup.  A wide triple hook band lends a supportive and reliable fit, even in larger cups.

The three section cups are intriguing, with a clever use of fabric that influences me to like this design so much.

The two lower parts are rigid, double thick mesh, while the upper section is a single piece of stretch fine mesh.  Feeling this upper fabric in person was a game changer for me.  Its soft structure effectively moulds around your natural contours, so it’s very forgiving, has a smoother line and is much more comfortable than many mesh panel or lace top bras.

The 30H is just the perfect fit for me.  The band is snug and supportive while feeling unrestrictive and comfortable to wear all day long.  The wiring is well placed and doesn’t stretch beyond where I need it to, but I did find the wires came up a little high which I’d notice on occasion.  It wasn’t overbearing, but noticeable.

I think the shape is super flattering and a look I feel most natural wearing.  It’s nicely rounded and has a fab feeling of gentle front projection, and even while I have a fairly heavy bust I get a good level of uplift that takes some of the weighty feeling away.

I think this is a fantastic bra, one I’ve been hugely impressed with and continue to wear (even to this moment!)  Not only is the colour just beautiful, but the uplift and fit is spectacular.  I love the fabric.  I love the design.  What a impressive start to this season.

**I was PR Gifted the Panache Olivia Balcony bra (30H, RRP £32)**

What are your thoughts on this new colour Olivia?  Do you like the colours that this Autumn’s lingerie is bringing?  What are you most looking for this season?

I love the Oliva. I think this color looks amazing, but I kind of hope it becomes a style that comes in black and beige. I find it more comfortable in a K cup than basically anything other than Goddess Kayla/Keira. It looks way better shapewise (if you want round and uplifted) than Tango, but has an ease about it that I love even though it’s not as round as Jasmine. It looks smashing on you, and I think is a bit more round in a smaller cup :). I really hope this one sticks, and thank it would be an amazing candidate for a maternity bra/nursing bra. I do enjoy the deep jewel tones of fall, but i’m really looking forward to spring, since blues will be available in the big cups with the expansion of the K cups this next season!
