Red Hot Lingerie Part 2: Freya Ooh La La
Red lingerie is considered one of the hottest outfits in your wardrobe. From cherry to berry, red in all its hues can be an exhilarating choice of underwear beneath Winter’s layers.
Continuing my look at red lingerie which last saw me reviewing a Kris Line set, this post is an altogether different look. The Freya Ooh La La collection in the new ‘flame’ colourway is vibrant and playful featuring a neon embroidered diamond and chevron pattern on sheer mesh.
The Ooh La La range features a full lingerie set including a suspender belt, body and chemise. The balcony bra is available all the way up to a J cup which is fab news for those who struggle with finding sexy undies in the larger cups.
I was sent by the Freya team the balcony bra in a 30GG and suspender and brief both in a medium.
Freya’s renowned fit scores massive points for the Ooh La La, which really does fit like a glove. It’s comfy and sturdy without looking like something out of your Grandma’s favourite catalogue *shudder*.
The new flame red shade is a bright one, most certainly best suited to the flamboyant amongst us. I personally prefer my reds cooler; this has more of an orangey tone which I feel would look best against a darker complexion compared to my own pale skin. Though it is a tantalising little number that brings out the fox in you!
I was disappointed to find the style has a slightly altered appearance to adapt for the GG-J cups, with the bottom two sections of the cup opaque with only the semi see through mesh to the upper section. It’s the sheer fabrication that I love about Freya’s Ooh La La and similar collections so to lose that aspect does lessen the effect to me.
I had visioned Ooh La La as a lingerie set for the boudoir, a little bit sexier to the usual Freya fayre. If I put my ideals and comparisons aside, this still is a hot mama of a lingerie set. The sheer paneling and embroidery makes for a glam looking style, with the addition of the suspender belt adding a sensual touch.
Red lingerie isn’t the sole reserve of the festive period but its juicy hues and warm glowing shades are perfect for turning up the heat this Christmas!
