Durham City, most famous for it’s elite university and grand Norman cathedral, is probably not the kind of place you’d expect a flash mob to descend.  A lingerie flash mob even less so in the picturesque Land of the Prince Bishops but that’s precisely what happened on a quietly slumbering Saturday, when a bevy of lingerie clad ladies erupted into the rambling cobbled streets over Elvet Bridge to an unsuspecting audience.


Questions of “What’s it about?” and “Is it Ann Summers?” darted from one shopper to another passer-by, while groups of tourists giddily snapped away with their camera phones and couples watched quizzically and goggle eyed, amused by the random sight of cheeky flesh brazenly swathing down Durham’s streets.

For the social media eagle eyed, there could be only one reason: Fashion In Durham Week, brought to life by the lingerie darling of the North East, Tallulah Love Lingerie.

Working in collaboration with local stockist Lingerie by Annette, and fashion boutique Sorella, a catwalk showcase of the finest lingerie on offer in the region (including Tallulah Love luxury lingerie) turned street style with a flash mob twist lead by some of the region’s most glamorous models, including Frankii Wilde, Ebony Silk, Fifi Galore – and little old me!



There were a good eighteen of us out on lingerie parade wearing a variety of brands sold by Lingerie by Annette.  Whilst many wore Tallulah Love pieces, the rest of us donned Mimi Holliday.  

The Bisou Bisou Rose collection by Mimi Holliday features beautiful peach colour silk with gorgeous eyelash lace detailing and is available in a choice of bra styles to suit a variety of busts, including the Maxi bra for fuller bust sizes, which even caters for 28 backs from FF to a GG.

I wore a 32G bra and size 12 in the classic brief.  It felt like a dream!  The fit was really good, the underwires lay flat and the band was comfortable, though I did have some rippling in the cups.  I’d get the 30GG if I bought this.  The silk makes this collection absolutely luxurious and certainly a treat.

My gorgeous burlesque beauty friend, Fifi Galore, wears the Garden of Delights by Tallulah Love.  Isn’t that leafy green just a yummy colour?!
